Burari Hospital Senior Resident Application Form
Eligibility
Applicants must have an MBBS and a postgraduate degree, DNB, Diploma or equivalent under the Residency Scheme in the concerned specialty from a recognised university or institute by the interview date. For discipline-specific eligibility, refer to the notification.
- If the MD/DNB certificate is unavailable, candidates with two years of experience in the concerned department may be considered on an ad-hoc basis.
- Candidates must not have completed three years as a Senior Resident in any recognised institute, whether in a regular or ad-hoc appointment.
- Applicants must be registered with the Delhi Medical Council with their MBBS and required postgraduate qualification by the interview date. A valid DMC certificate is required, or applicants must have applied for DMC registration of their postgraduate degree or diploma.
- If fresh candidates are unavailable, candidates who have completed three years of Senior Residency in a government or government-aided institution may be considered under relaxed norms. Appointments under this category are ad hoc for 44 days.
The 16 posts are provisional and may change without notice. Reservation will follow prevailing government rules. OBC seats are for Delhi non-creamy-layer candidates; the required certificate must be issued in the current financial year.

Documents to Prepare
Bring the printed prefilled application form, two passport-size photographs, self-attested photocopies and original documents for verification. The notice lists these documents in the following order:
- Class 10 certificate for date of birth
- Attempt certificate
- MBBS and postgraduate degree, DNB or Diploma
- Experience certificate, if applicable
- Aadhaar Card, Voter ID or Passport
- Publications in indexed journals only
OBC applicants must also bring a Delhi OBC non-creamy-layer certificate issued in the current financial year.
Age Limit
The maximum age is 45 years on the interview date. Relaxation is up to five years for SC/ST candidates and three years for OBC candidates belonging to Delhi’s non-creamy layer.
Salary
Pay is in accordance with 7th CPC guidelines as adopted by the Government of NCT of Delhi. The notice does not specify a pay amount or level.
Important Dates
- Walk-in interview: Every Friday from 30 October to 20 November 2026.
- Reporting: Between 9 AM and 11 AM. Entry is allowed only up to 11 AM.
The interviews are at the Office of the Medical Director, Burari Hospital, Kaushik Enclave, Burari, Delhi-110084. If a scheduled interview date is declared a holiday, it will move to the next working day or another date decided by the Medical Director.
Selection Process
Documents will be checked against originals before the interview. Selection will be based on merit in the walk-in interview. Candidates without valid OBC proof at document verification will not be allowed to interview. The result will be displayed on the Delhi Government website and the hospital notice board.
The initial appointment is for 44 days or until a regular candidate joins. It may be extended, subject to the stated conditions, up to a maximum total Senior Resident tenure of three years. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the selection process.
