Eligibility
The listed qualifications for the Assistant Professor (Contract) post are:
- Bachelor’s degree from the concerned faculty, recognised by Kerala Agricultural University.
- Master’s degree in the relevant subject, recognised by Kerala Agricultural University, with at least 55% marks under the traditional system or equivalent.
- Qualification in the National Eligibility Test conducted by ICAR, UGC, CSIR or AICTE, or a similar test accredited by UGC.
A 5% relaxation at the master’s level is allowed for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and differently-abled (physically and visually differently-abled) categories for eligibility and assessment of good academic record, based only on qualifying marks and excluding grace marks.
Desirable qualifications include the ability to read and write Malayalam and a Ph.D. in the relevant subject recognised by Kerala Agricultural University. Experience is not specified in the notification. Applicants should check the criteria for the post they select; the notice’s general listing of qualifications does not assign qualifications to different posts.

Salary
Selected candidates will receive consolidated pay of Rs. 44,100 per month. The appointment is on a contract basis.
