Eligibility

Consultant (Medical Specialist)MBBS from a recognised institute or college approved by the Medical Council of India, plus a recognised postgraduate degree, DNB or postgraduate diploma in the relevant speciality.Retired medical specialists: at least 15 years in the relevant speciality, supported by self-declaration. Other medical specialists, excluding retired executives of CIL, PSUs or government organisations: at least 7 years in the relevant speciality.
Consultant (GDMO)MBBS from a recognised institute or college approved by the Medical Council of India.GDMOs other than retired executives of CIL, PSUs or government organisations: at least 3 years of experience as a GDMO.

Retired medical executives must also meet the service-record, disciplinary and integrity conditions in the notification. Preference is in this order: medical executives retired from CIL or its subsidiaries, retired executives of other PSUs, retired officers of Central or State Government organisations, and private practitioners.

The engagement is part-time on a fixed-tenure contract. The initial term is one year and may be extended for one additional year, subject to satisfactory performance, organisational requirements, vacancy availability and approval.

Applicants must not be over 70 years old during the contract period. The engagement cannot continue after the consultant reaches 70.

Salary

Payment does not depend on the number of patients examined or treated. The engagement does not include retirement benefits such as gratuity, provident fund, post-retirement medical benefits or pension.

Selection Process

NCL may shortlist applicants for an interview or selection process. Selection modalities will follow the qualification and engagement criteria used in open recruitment for the relevant medical discipline, except for the specified age and experience conditions. No travelling allowance will be paid for attending the interview or selection process.
