Eligibility
Applicants must meet one of the following qualification routes:
- B.E./B.Tech. in a listed biotechnology, bioengineering, biological sciences, bioinformatics or related discipline, along with M.E./M.Tech./M.S. in a listed related discipline. An M.S. from abroad must be a two-year programme.
- M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Botany, Zoology, Bioinformatics or Life Sciences, along with M.Tech. in Biotechnology or Environmental Engineering.
- M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Botany, Zoology, Bioinformatics or Life Sciences.
The notification specifies minimum marks or CGPA at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels: 60% or 6.5 CGPA for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL candidates, and 55% or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD candidates. It also specifies a separate threshold for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology: at least 7.5 CGPA or 70% for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL candidates, and 7.0 CGPA or 65% for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
GATE/CSIR-UGC/DBT/ICMR NET-qualified candidates will be given preference.
Age Limit
Maximum age: 30 years. Relaxation of up to 5 years applies to SC/ST/OBC/Women and physically challenged candidates.
Salary
₹37,000 per month.
