Eligibility
- A full-time bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 60% marks from a recognised university or institute.
- A full-time, two-year postgraduate degree or postgraduate diploma in Mass Communication, Journalism, Advertising and Communication, Public Relations, or a combination of these subjects, with at least 60% marks.
- All qualifications must be from universities or institutions recognised and approved in India.
Where a vacancy is identified for their category, SC, ST and PwBD candidates with at least 55% marks in the required qualifications are eligible to apply. Only Indian nationals may apply.

The upper age limit is 29 years, calculated on the last date for submitting the online application.

Selection Process
Depending on its requirements, NTPC may use application shortlisting or screening, a written or computer-based test, and a personal interview.
If selection is through an online test and interview, the final result will be weighted as follows:

Candidates must qualify separately in the written test and interview. The online test includes a Subject Knowledge Test and an Executive Aptitude Test; candidates must qualify separately in both sections. Selected candidates must pass a medical examination before joining. No relaxation in the prescribed health standards is allowed.
How to Apply
- Visit the NTPC careers portal and open the application for Advertisement No. 12/26.
- Read the advertisement and confirm your eligibility.
- Register using a valid email address, then enter the required personal, educational and category details.
- Upload the required certificates and documents, and pay the fee if applicable.
- Review and submit the application. Download and retain the application slip with its unique application number.
Applications are accepted online only. Do not send the application or supporting documents to NTPC by post. Applications without complete supporting documents may be rejected, and the category selected in the application cannot be changed later.
Documents listed for upload include the Class 10 certificate or marksheet, PAN card, Aadhaar card, degree and postgraduate qualification certificates, marksheets or transcripts, and a marks-conversion formula where applicable. Relevant caste, EWS or disability certificates must also be provided, including the current financial year’s OBC-NCL certificate or EWS Income and Asset Certificate where applicable. The name and date of birth should match across the Class 10 certificate, PAN card and Aadhaar card.
NTPC may change the vacancy count according to organisational requirements. Recruitment updates and any addenda or corrigenda will be published on the NTPC website. Canvassing will disqualify applicants.
