Eligibility
Applicants must have a doctoral degree in Science or a master’s degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognised university, or an equivalent qualification.
Desirable: Prior research experience in seaweed biomass processing, extraction and characterisation of value-added products, and handling biomass-processing reactors and related assemblies. Prior research publications or patents in algal cultivation, processing or algal biorefinery are also desirable. Candidates should have proficiency in scientific writing and laboratory management.
The position is project-based and temporary, and ends with the project. The selected candidate will work on the project “Sustainable Enhancement of Kappaphycus for Climate Resilience and Economic Development through Omics-driven Cultivar Improvement and Value Addition.” The initial engagement is for one year and may be extended for a further year subject to satisfactory performance. The total project duration is two years.
Age Limit
Maximum 35 years as on the closing date of the advertisement. Age relaxation is as per GoI norms.
Salary
₹56,000 plus HRA.
