Eligibility
The notification lists these qualifications for Assistant Professor (Contract):
- A bachelor’s degree from the concerned faculty, recognised by Kerala Agricultural University (KAU).
- A master’s degree in the relevant subject, recognised by KAU, with at least 55% marks in the traditional system or equivalent.
- Qualification in the National Eligibility Test conducted by ICAR, UGC, CSIR or AICTE, or a similar test accredited by UGC.
A 5% relaxation at master’s level is allowed for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and differently-abled (physically and visually differently-abled) categories for eligibility and assessment of good academic record, based on qualifying marks without grace marks.
Desirable qualifications include the ability to read and write Malayalam and a Ph.D. in the relevant subject recognised by KAU. Experience is not specified in the notification.
