The Ministry of Textiles is inviting applications from serving government officers for posts under the National Technical Textiles Mission (NTTM). The re-advertisement covers one Joint Mission Director (Research & Innovation) post and one Deputy Mission Director post. Applications are to be sent through the proper channel.
Eligibility
Joint Mission Director (Research & Innovation)
- Applicants must be Central Government officers holding an analogous post regularly, or serving at Level 13 or equivalent, or at Level 12 with three years of regular service in that grade or equivalent.
- Mandatory qualification: a Master’s degree in Science or Technology, or a B.Tech/B.E. in Textile with at least five years’ experience in Technical Textiles.
- Desirable: a Ph.D. in a relevant subject and at least three years’ experience in a Scientific/Technology Mission.
Deputy Mission Director
- Applicants must be officers of the Central Government, Autonomous Bodies or Statutory Bodies holding an analogous post regularly, or with three years’ regular service at Level 10 or equivalent in their parent organisation.
- Relevant experience in implementing Government schemes is required. The notification does not specify a minimum educational qualification for this post.
Age Limit
The maximum age for both posts is 56 years as on the closing date for applications.
Salary
- Joint Mission Director (Research & Innovation): Pay Matrix Level 13 or 13A. Level 13 applies to officers drawing Level 12 in their parent cadre; Level 13A applies to those drawing Level 13.
- Deputy Mission Director: Level 11 as per the 7th CPC.
Pay for officers selected on deputation will be regulated under the applicable Department of Personnel & Training instructions.
Important Dates
- Re-advertisement memorandum issued: 27 October 2026.
- Application deadline: within 60 days of the memorandum, stated as 26 December 2026.
- Deputation period: up to 31 March 2028.
Officers who applied under the earlier memoranda dated 21 May 2026 or 10 July 2026 do not need to apply again.

- Up-to-date CR/APAR dossiers, or clear photocopies for the last five years attested by a Group ‘A’ officer not below the rank of Under Secretary to the Government of India.
- A statement of major or minor penalties imposed during the last 10 years of service.
- An Integrity Certificate or Vigilance clearance.
- Cadre clearance.
Applications may be rejected if they arrive late, are incomplete, or lack the required documents.

- Have the Head of Department verify the particulars and certify them with a signature and stamp.
