AIIMS Nagpur is recruiting one Project Technical Support-II (Accountant) for its Department of Physiology under an ICMR-funded FOT project. The post is contractual.

Eligibility
The listed qualifications and experience are for the Project Technical Support-II (Accountant) post. Applicants should check the official notification to confirm the criteria applicable to their selected post.
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com.) from a recognized university or institution.
- Working knowledge of accounting, bookkeeping, financial documentation and computer applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
- One year of relevant accounts or finance experience in a government institution, academic institution, research project or recognized organization. Experience counts only after the essential qualification has been acquired.
Desirable: M.Com., MBA (Finance) or an equivalent higher qualification in accounts or finance; experience with accounts for externally funded research projects, preferably ICMR or another Government of India funding agency; knowledge of Utilization Certificates, Statements of Expenditure, budget-head reconciliation, supporting vouchers, e-office, PFMS, GeM and institutional financial procedures; and good verbal communication skills in Hindi and Marathi.
Persons already in regular time-scale service under a Government Department or Organization are not eligible. Age, qualifications and other criteria are assessed as of the application closing date.
Documents to Prepare
- One recent passport-size photograph.
- Proof of identity: Aadhaar Card, Driving License or another valid government-issued photo identity card.
- Proof of date of birth: Birth Certificate, Class 10 Board Certificate or Aadhaar Card.
- Class 12 mark sheet and passing certificate.
- B.Com. mark sheets for all years or semesters and degree certificate.
- M.Com., MBA (Finance) or equivalent higher-qualification mark sheets and degree certificate, if applicable.
- Experience certificates in chronological order, oldest first; each must state the nature of work during the employment period.
- Any other relevant certificates or testimonials supporting the application.
Bring the documents in original for verification at the written test or interview. Reserved-category candidates must produce their latest Caste Validity Certificate. OBC candidates must have a valid non-creamy layer certificate in the Government of India format for the current financial year. PWD candidates must produce a latest certificate from a medical board of a Government hospital showing not less than 40% disability.
Age Limit
The upper age limit is 28 years. Upper-age relaxation is 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates, as per Government of India/ICMR rules. Additional relaxation may be considered for candidates with adequate relevant project or accounts experience, as permitted by the applicable rules.
Salary
The consolidated pay is Rs. 20,000 per month plus HRA as admissible, for a total of Rs. 24,000 per month including 20% HRA.

Selection Process
The eligible or shortlisted applicants list will be posted on the AIIMS website. The Institute may conduct a written or skill test if required, followed by an interview. The final selection list will also be posted on the website. The shortlist remains valid for one year from publication of the result and is renewable accordingly.
For the tentative interview, reporting and registration are scheduled from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, with the interview from 12:00 noon onwards. The timing may change if a written or skill test is conducted. The venue is the Demonstration Room, First Floor Laboratory Block, Department of Physiology, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur, MIHAN, Nagpur.
Service Conditions
The place of posting is AIIMS Nagpur. The tenure is until 19 December 2026 and may be extended up to 19 March 2027, subject to continuation of the post by ICMR, satisfactory performance and approval of the Competent Authority. The position is temporary and does not confer a claim to regular appointment at AIIMS Nagpur or ICMR, or continuation in another project.
Provident Fund, Pension Scheme, Leave Travel Concession, Medical Claim, Staff Quarters and other facilities for regular ICMR staff are not admissible. Leave is governed by project recruitment rules, and the recruited staff member must give an undertaking before joining. The notice also sets out conditions on termination, notice, salary delays or stoppage, and automatic end of tenure if the project is not extended.
