Experience is not listed as an essential qualification, but related experience can earn marks. For the Para posts, the notice describes relevant work in operating pumping machinery and allied electrical installations, or maintaining village piped water supply infrastructure, as applicable. Candidates should be able to carry tools and pipes in hilly areas and should not have physical disabilities or colour blindness. Selection Process
An initial merit list will be prepared from submitted documents based on qualification and experience. At least five times the number of vacancies will be called for a skill and physical test through separate call letters. Original certificates and testimonials will be checked during evaluation.
The assessment is out of 10 marks. Qualification carries 5 marks for the Para posts and 6 marks for Multi Purpose Workers; relevant experience carries up to 2 marks and the skill and physical test carries 2 marks. A BPL-family criterion carries 1 mark for the Para posts and no marks for Multi Purpose Workers.
The Para Pump Operator skill test includes pump repairs, fault identification, installation and operation. The Para Fitter skill test includes water-pipeline repairs, pipe fitting, distribution and related tools. The notice also describes physical and practical requirements for the posts.
