Selection Process
- Applicants are shortlisted on the basis of a multiple-choice Preliminary Test.
- The Main Examination is descriptive and covers teaching aptitude and subject knowledge.
- The skill test is qualifying in nature.
The Preliminary Test has 100 questions, carries 200 marks and lasts two hours. The Main Examination carries 200 marks and lasts two hours. The skill test carries 100 marks. The notice states that the Preliminary Test is for shortlisting only and has no weightage in the final assessment; 0.5 mark is deducted for each wrong answer in that test. The question paper is bilingual in English and Hindi.
