M.Sc. (Agri.) final-year students who have submitted their thesis may also attend the interview. If selected, they must produce their Provisional Degree Certificate when joining. Only candidates with the essential qualifications will be considered for interview. Employed candidates need a no-objection certificate from their employer.
Age Limit
For Senior Research Fellow and Young Professional-II, the minimum age is 21 years and the maximum is 45 years. Age relaxation is as per rules. The notice does not specify an age limit for Field Assistant or Computer Operator. The application form asks for age as of the interview date.

Selection Process
Selection is through an interview conducted by the Selection Committee. If applications are numerous, candidates will be shortlisted on merit using academic performance and experience; up to five candidates per post will be interviewed. No call letters will be issued.
The interview venue is the Directorate of Research, VNMKV, Parbhani. Candidates arriving after 11:00 a.m. will be treated as absent. No travel or other expenses will be paid for attending the interview.
Documents to Prepare
- Prescribed application form in Annexure-I, with a recent photograph pasted on it.
- Copies of certificates from matriculation onwards, date-of-birth certificate, NET or equivalent certificates and mark sheets, proof of experience and publications, and CV.
- No-objection certificate from the employer, if employed.
- Annexure-II declaration about relatives working at ICAR/IARI. Candidates with such a relative must provide the relative’s name, designation, nature of duties and relationship in writing and send it by post before the interview date. Candidates without such relatives hand in the declaration at the interview.
- For the interview: a hard copy of the completed application, one set of self-attested photocopies of certificates, original certificates and two recent passport-size photographs.
How to Apply
- Download the official notification and application form, then complete the Annexure-I format. Submit a separate form for each post. Applications not in the prescribed format will be rejected.
- Attach the specified documents and declarations. If you have a relative working at ICAR/IARI, send the required declaration by post before the interview date; declaring this only on interview day means you will not be interviewed.
- Post or deliver the hard-copy application to the Oilseeds Specialist and Principal Investigator, Oilseeds Research Station, Nanded Road, Latur-413512. It must arrive by 5:00 p.m. on 5 November 2026.
