How to Apply
- Download the notification and application form from the official website.
- Complete the form in capital letters on A4-size, good-quality paper.
- Paste a recent colour passport-size photograph (3.5 cm × 3.5 cm, not more than three months old and unattested) in the designated space, and sign below it.
- Provide your left-thumb impression and signature at the bottom of the form. Attach self-attested copies of the required documents.
- Place the application and documents in an envelope marked “Application for the post of Navigational Assistant Grade - III”.
- Send it by Speed Post or Registered Post to the Director, Directorate of Lighthouses and Lightships, “Deep Bhavan”, Port Residential Area, Saligrampuram, Visakhapatnam-530024, Andhra Pradesh. It must reach by 01-11-2026 at 1700 Hrs.
Applicants from the specified North Eastern states and remote areas listed in the notification have seven additional days beyond the closing date. The department will not be responsible for postal delays. Candidates currently employed by Central or State Government, autonomous bodies, PSUs or Public Sector Banks must apply through the proper channel or submit a No Objection Certificate.

There is one vacancy, reserved for Scheduled Caste candidates. Initial posting will be at a Lighthouse, DGSS or NAVTEX station under the Visakhapatnam Directorate. The post is liable to transfer anywhere in India.
