GRID India is recruiting interns for Power System Simulation Studies. The internship is for six months and is based at NLDC or one of the regional load despatch centres listed in the notice.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be Indian nationals.
- Essential qualification: a full-time regular B.E., B.Tech., B.Sc. (Engineering) or Integrated Dual Degree from a recognised university or institute in Electrical, Electrical (Power), Electrical and Electronics, Power Systems Engineering, or Power Engineering (Electrical), with a minimum of 65% or equivalent CGPA.
- The B.E./B.Tech. degree must be completed by the application closing date. Applicants awaiting final undergraduate results or completion of the essential qualification by that date are not eligible. The date the final marksheet is issued is treated as the date the qualification is acquired.
- Desirable qualifications include a full-time regular M.Tech., MSR or M.E. in Power Systems or a closely related specialisation. Final-semester students in these programmes may apply.
- A Ph.D. in Power Systems or a closely related specialisation is also desirable; pursuing Ph.D. research scholars may apply. Applicants pursuing or having completed an MSR or Ph.D. in these fields must have a No Objection Certificate from their college or university.
- Relaxation in marks for candidates belonging to SC, ST or PwBD categories is to pass marks.
- Applicants must be available for full-time, on-site engagement at the location specified in the offer letter. Candidates must arrange their own travel and accommodation. Location preferences may be considered subject to slot availability; requests to change location will not be accepted after the offer is issued.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have not previously been employed. Applicants must not have previously received benefits under the PM Internship Scheme or undergone apprenticeship in a Central or State Government organisation under NATS, NAPS or another applicable apprenticeship scheme.
Age Limit
Applicants must be at least 18 and not more than 32 years old on the closing date of the application window. Upper-age relaxation is as per Government of India directives.
Salary
The all-inclusive stipend is ₹50,000 per month. No other allowances, benefits or emoluments are admissible. The engagement is for six months and may be extended by three months by mutual agreement on the same terms and conditions. Interns are responsible for any tax liabilities on the stipend.

Selection Process
