Age Limit
As on the interview date, the minimum age is 21 years for both posts. The maximum age is 35 years for SRF and 45 years for YP-I.
- SRF: 5 years’ relaxation for SC/ST candidates and women; 3 years for OBC candidates.
- Young Professionals: Relaxation as per rules.
Salary
- SRF: Rs. 37,000 plus HRA for the first and second years; Rs. 42,000 plus HRA from the third year onwards.
- YP-I: Rs. 30,000 per month, consolidated.
HRA will be paid at the applicable Central Government rates.

Selection Process
Applications will be screened, followed by an offline interview conducted by a Selection Committee. Shortlisted candidates will be informed by email.
Documents to Prepare
- Completed Application Proforma (Annexure-I) and Declaration Form (Annexure-II).
- Recent biodata in the prescribed format and a recent passport-size photograph.
- Original certificates and supporting documents from matriculation onwards, including proof of date of birth and degree or provisional degree certificates.
- NET/GATE or equivalent certificate, where applicable.
- Experience certificates and publications or other proof, where applicable.
- A copy of the M.Sc./M.Tech. thesis for SRF candidates.
- One set of self-attested photocopies of all documents.
- No Objection Certificate from the present employer, if currently employed.

- Attend the walk-in interview on 5 November 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Division of Vegetable Science, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi 110012. Bring the completed forms, original documents and one set of self-attested photocopies.
The engagement is temporary and contractual for one year or until completion or termination of the project, whichever is earlier. Posts are co-terminus with their respective projects.
