JBVNL is recruiting Second Members for locations in Ranchi, Chaibasa, Dumka and Hazaribagh. The posts are on contract.
Eligibility
The notice lists the following qualifications and experience. Check the official notification for the criteria applicable to the post and location selected.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Instrumentation, or Electrical & Electronics; or CA, ICWA, or MBA Finance.
- At least 20 years of experience in transmission, distribution and trading of electricity, or in accounts and finance in a government department or commercial public undertaking.
An appointed member must not hold another office of profit during the tenure.
Age Limit
Minimum age: 45 years. The stipulated maximum age is 62 years, as on 1 August 2026.
Salary
Retired members receive last pay drawn minus pension. Members without a pension receive an honorarium equal to last pay drawn. Dearness allowance and house rent allowance are as per State Government orders.
Appointment is initially for three years and may be extended by up to two further years based on satisfactory service, or continue until the member reaches 65 years of age, whichever is earlier.

How to Apply
- Complete the prescribed application format at Annexure-I.
- Attach the required documents. Paste one passport-size photograph on the application form and enclose the other.
- Write on the envelope: “Application for the post of Second Member, Vidyut Upbhokta Shikayat Nivaran Forum (VUSNF), - (Name of the Location).”
- Send the application by Speed Post to the Office of General Manager (HR), Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited, Nigam Headquarters, Engineering Building, H.E.C., Dhurwa, Ranchi - 834004. It may also be delivered in person, as stated in the notification. Applications must reach by 6:00 PM on 6 November 2026.
Late applications will not be considered. JBVNL reserves the right to reject incomplete applications or applications submitted in a different format.
