The Principal District and Sessions Court, Kodagu-Madikeri, has invited online applications for 39 direct-recruitment posts in the Kodagu district judiciary. Applications are open from 03-09-2026 to 03-10-2026, up to 11:59 PM. Offline applications are not accepted.
Eligibility
Qualifications must be obtained by the last date to apply. Candidates who have taken a qualifying examination and are awaiting results are not eligible. Qualifications other than those specified in the notifications will not be considered.

For Typist, accepted equivalent qualifications include CBSE/ICSE Class 12, other state board Class 12, NIOS Senior Secondary, or specified combinations of a 3-year diploma, 2-year ITI or 2-year vocational diploma with NIOS language and subject courses.
Age Limit
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Maximum age: 40 years for General candidates; 43 years for Categories 2(A), 2(B), 3(A) and 3(B); 45 years for SC, ST and Category-1 candidates.
A one-time five-year relaxation applies under the Government Order dated 29-01-2026, subject to the stated maximum-age ceilings after adjustment. Further relaxations apply to specified groups, including government and local-authority employees, ex-servicemen, NCC cadet instructors, Grama Sujaga Parishilakas, persons with disabilities, Census enumerators, widows and released bonded labourers, as set out in the notifications.

Pay online through the SBI e-Pay Payment Portal linked on the court website, using net banking, credit card, debit card, UPI or QR code. Cash, Demand Draft, Postal Order, Money Order and Challan are not accepted. Applications with unpaid fees will be rejected, and fees paid are non-refundable.
Selection Process
- Typist: Selection considers qualifying-examination marks, a computer typewriting skill test involving a given 15-minute passage, and interview marks. The qualifying test carries a maximum of 100 marks, with 50 required to pass; the interview carries a maximum of 5 marks.
- Driver: Selection is through a driving test and interview under the Karnataka Subordinate Courts Rules.
- Process Server: Candidates are shortlisted for interview in a 1:25 ratio per notified post and category, based on qualifying-examination marks. The interview carries a maximum of 10 marks, and final selection is based on interview marks.
- Peon/Attender: Candidates are shortlisted for interview in a 1:10 ratio per notified post and category, based on qualifying-examination marks. The interview carries a maximum of 10 marks.
Candidates called for a test or interview must attend at their own expense.
How to Apply
- Visit the official recruitment website and select the relevant post.
- Register with a valid, active mobile number and email address.
- Complete the online application accurately. Incomplete or incorrect applications will be rejected.
- Upload a scanned colour passport photograph in JPG format, with a white background and no signature, measuring 5 cm × 3.6 cm and under 50 KB. Upload a scanned signature in black ballpoint pen on white paper, in JPG format, measuring 2.5 cm × 7.5 cm and under 25 KB.
- Upload a clear PDF scan of the qualifying-examination marks card: 2nd PUC or equivalent for Typist, and SSLC or equivalent for the other posts.
- Pay the applicable fee online before the deadline, then submit the application.
- Download and retain the submitted application and fee receipt until the recruitment process is complete; these must be produced at the skill test or interview.
Only one application per candidate is allowed. If multiple applications are submitted, only the last will be considered valid. No information can be edited after submission, and applications submitted by any mode other than online will not be considered.
